Contraception & Sexual Health Service (Family Planning)

This service offers free, confidential sexual health advice and a wide range of contraceptive methods. Booked and walk in appointments available.  Please note walk in patients will be seen on a first come first served basis.  However, if we can't see you on that day we will offer you another appointment.

Other services available are:

  • pregnancy testing.
  • emergency contraception.  
  • counselling prior to a termination of pregnancy - GP or self referral.
  • cervical cytology.
  • breast awareness and teaching breast self-examination.
  • testicular awareness and teaching testicular self-examination.
  • testing for Chlamydia (STI) and referral on to GUM.
  • general advice and support.
