Lettings Policy

 

For over a year we have been consulting with tenants representatives, councillors, staff and others in preparation for reviewing our Lettings Policy.

 

Some minor changes have already been made in order to comply with changes in housing legislation and increasing demand for Council housing in Dudley. These include:

 

• giving less priority and/or fewer offers to applicants with a poor tenancy history and to applicants from outside the borough.

• reserving three bedroomed houses for families with at least two children

 

• tightening up the rules for relatives andlodgers left in family houses through death or matrimonial breakdown - in most casessingle people will be asked to move to smaller accommodation.

 

A full copy of the Lettings Policy can be inspected at any Area Housing Office, purchased for £7.60, or is available to download in pdf format.(see below)
