In Dudley we offer a range of ways for our customers to get involved and influence how we deliver our services. We strive to always deliver a customer focused service which reflects the needs of our customers and the organisation.
There are lots of different ways for you to get involved; each one offers different levels of involvement. They range from minimum involvement such as completing a postal or email survey once a year to running an active community group and include a whole range of different options in-between.
There are many active tenants and residents associations (TRA’s) across the borough, these groups give communities a united voice and provide the opportunity for local people to work together to improve neighbourhoods and influence decisions.
If you are interested, a full range of opportunities for involvement are listed in our 'Getting Involved' leaflet which is available to download at the bottom of this page, there is also a contact sheet which enables you to email us directly.
The Participation Development Team is here to ensure that you, our customers, have the opportunity to influence how services are delivered. The team supports many tenants and residents associations and local forum groups which cover neighbourhoods across the Dudley borough. The team offer a wide range of involvement opportunities which enable you to get involved in a way which suits your lifestyle; these range from public meetings to email surveys to focus groups and to tenants conferences.
We strive to offer every one of our customers the chance to have a say.
The team is made up of 7 members and can be contacted on 01384 815168 or via email Participation Development Team.
The Area Housing Forums cover the five geographical areas that make up Dudley (Dudley, Halesowen, Stourbridge, North Dudley and Brierley Hill). They are open meetings and everyone is welcome to attend.
The Area Housing Forums are a vital part of the participation loop, feeding back information and decisions from the Area Panels, this is a two way process and information and issues are passed between panels and forums.
If you would like further information about the dates or discussion topics for Area Panels or Area Housing Forums in your area or would like to contact someone to discuss area forums, please email the Participation Development Team or contact us on 01384 815168.
The Participation Development Team focuses on engaging people from across Dudley’s ever more diverse neighbourhoods and would like to encourage people who would not normally get involved to come along and 'have a say'.
There are new and established participation methods which are designed so that members of Dudley’s communities can guide and influence how Council services are delivered. Raising the profile of opportunities for involvement and having a customer focused approach is a very high priority for Dudley.
If you think ‘Getting Involved' is something that you may be interested in please contact the Participation Development Team on 01384 815168 or email the Participation Development Team. Please see related documents to view the leaflet.

The Directorate of Adult, Community & Housing Services is accountable to its customers. Our aim is to improve service delivery across all housing services by involving customers in the decision making process. Dudley’s Tenant Participation Strategy document evolved through consultation with our customers in 2003.
The strategy is now undergoing a full review to ensure that it continues to meet our customers expectations. If you would like to be involved with the review or have suggestions which you believe should be included within the new Tenant Participation Strategy you can contact the Participation Development on 01384 815168 or email the Participation Development Team.
