Community Safety & Environmental Bids
Community safety and environmental bids are a one off item of expenditure which improves or enhances the environment or safety of the local community. The bid should improve the long term sustainability of an estate or area whilst offering value for money.
Each year Housing Managers, community groups, local residents and Councillors are asked to identify issues affecting local communities, they work together to outline possible solutions to address these issues and submit a community safety & environmental bid to the area panel.
During Panel meetings the members will discuss individual bids and recommend if a bid is approved or rejected, in some cases the bid is deferred for more information.

Performance information is presented to the panels who play an active role in the monitoring process. Panel members look at areas, which include rent arrears, turnaround of empty properties, anti-social behaviour and repairs.
Repairs and Improvement programme
Area Housing Panels continually monitor and contribute to the repairs and improvement programme which looks at what money will be spent over the next 3 years on different types of repairs and improvements to properties we manage.
