Green Street Gardens TRA was formed in October 2004 following the amalgamation of two Tenants Forums situated in Stourbridge's 'old quarter' - namely Baylie Court and Kennedy Court.
 
Green Street Gardens TRA hold committee meetings every month and general meetings quarterly.  At the meetings the group discuss local issues and social events. 
 
During our time, the TRA has been responsible for projects which has brought about many positive changes to tenant’s lifestyle. Funding for these improvements has mainly come from their Aerial Fund and also, very importantly, from DFTRA Capital Bids.   
 
The TRA work closely with the Participation Development Team, other council officers and organisations to identify solutions and make improvements to the neighbourhood.
 
Some of the improvements achieved include:
  • A complete refurbishment of the Community Room
  • CCTV and monitor for the foyers
  • New flooring to the stairwells
  • New Carpets
  • Garden benches
  • Improved lighting for the grounds and car park
  • The installation of a car park barrier
 
Events:
 
  • Coffee mornings are held every Tuesday and Thursday between 11.30am and 12.30pm, in the Community Room at Baylie Court
  • Bingo every Tuesday evening at 7.30pm
  • Craft classes
  • Gardening Club
 
Gardening Club:
Our gardening club volunteers maintain the planted areas of Baylie Court and Kennedy Court.  Their hard work has enabled us to win first prize, of the High Rise Living Category, in the gardening competition this year.  We are always in need of volunteers to help with this rewarding project.
