The information on this page sets out what Dudley Council will do to help you deal with anti-social behaviour. It includes a shorter statement about the Council's policy, and also the full version of that document. These are very large policy statements; please bear that in mind when you attempt to open the files or wish to print them out. A printed version of the statutory statement is also available and can be obtained by calling 01384 812419.
Anti-Social Behaviour is defined in law as behaving in 'a manner that causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household.' The Council takes all complaints about anti-social behaviour extremely seriously and in the first instance all complaints should be reported to the Council by calling 0300 555 2345.
Racial harassment is another area that the Council takes very seriously and is another form of anti-social behaviour. We will work with you to make the harassment stop.
If you are a council tenant we guarantee to:
- Carry out an initial interview within 2 working days (within 24 hours where violence has been used or threatened)
- We will work with you to agree any action to be taken or any support required
- We will treat the information you give us as confidential
Our detailed policy on this is also below.
