Help and Advice for Homeless People

homeless
There are many ways in which a person or their family can become homeless, often through no fault of their own. In Dudley the Council's Homelessness service is delivered from two Area Housing offices - one in the north of the borough, and one in the south. They can deal with applications from homeless people across the whole borough. Dudley Area office takes applicants from Dudley and North Dudley, while the Brierley Hill Area Housing office takes applications from Stourbridge, Halesowen, and Brierley Hill.

If you are homeless or face the prospect of having nowhere to live within the next 28 days, please visit either of the offices mentioned (details below) and ask for a homeless interview. Please be aware that the interview will involve detailed questions about your personal life in order to establish why you became homeless and to establish if it is possible for you to return to your previous accommodation.

Please do not give up your existing accommodation unless absolutely necessary. Always try and obtain advice first before anything happens. We are always here to help. If you find yourself without a roof over your head over the weekend or outside of office hours, please don't hesitate to call our emergency housing team on 01384 818283 for help.
