Exciting plans to regenerate the former North Priory area are continuing. Dudley Council, residents, councillors, Bromford Group (housing association) and developers Keepmoat Homes are working together to regenerate the area as a desirable place to live, with homes suitable for the whole community now and in the future.
Work is now underway to develop the first stage of the development after funding was secured from the government's homes and communities agency last year. 100 properties will be built in the first stage, which is due to complete by spring 2012.
Show homes and sales centre open
Two show homes and the sales centre showcasing the properties which are available for outright sale on the scheme are now open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm. People are now able to go along and have a look around the Normanby two bedroom home and the Melbury three bedroom home which have been kitted out to showcase the new properties available for outright sale.

Mix of properties
The new properties will be a mix of social rented properties, shared-ownership and private sale. There’ll be a range of house types including houses, bungalows and apartments all built to a high environmental and safety standard.
Sales name
A new sales name for the scheme has been announced, which is Friars Gate. This will be used by Keepmoat Homes to market the properties for outright sale and was developed in consultation with local residents.
Funding
£5.6 million funding from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) for North Priory was secured in July 2010.
