Mortgage Help for Homeowners
The economic downturn has resulted in many homeowners finding themselves in financial difficulties through the loss of their jobs or due to a significant reduction in their income, resulting in the possibility of facing repossession from their lenders.
Facing the prospect of repossession can be frightening, but it's important to remember that you are not alone. There is a lot of help available from government, from lenders and from advice agencies. The information here will give you the tools you need to prevent your home being repossessed.

Domestic noise nuisance
Domestic noise nuisance can have many sources, the most common being neighbour related noise complaints such as barking dogs, loud music, DIY works or burglar alarms. All noise complaints reported relating to residential properties will be investigated by our team, in line with the Environmental Protection Act (1990).
Anti-social behaviour
We all have the right to live in peace free from the nuisance of problem neighbours, threatening behaviour or harassment. If you have a problem with antisocial behaviour please contact our Community Safety Team 0300 555 2345.
Leaseholder information
Almost all flats in England and Wales are leasehold as are many houses. As a long leaseholder (ie tenant under a long lease) you have bought the right to live in your property for a fixed number of years typically for either 99 or 125 years. Once the lease expires the property will revert to the landlord unless, either, the freehold is purchased (enfranchisement), the lease is extended or rights to stay on in the property as a renting tenant are exercised.
