Supported and sheltered housing

sh_scheme_manager

The Sheltered Housing service offered by Dudley Council covers a range of accommodation. It also offers some useful services for both private and Council tenants, such as Home Call, Bogus Caller's Hotline, and the Carer's Emergency Card.

Sheltered Housing is a term used to describe self-contained flats or bungalows available to older people. Services offered are tailored to suit the needs of the individual. Promoting and securing independence for older people in a safe, easy to manage home of their own is the aim.

The Council has 11 specially-built schemes, but also offers other types of accommodation as well. Any tenant over 60 in Dudley can also request the support of a visiting member of staff to their home.
