The Finance Directorate can provide career opportunities in a range of work areas:

 

 

Undertakes audits and checks of all areas of the Council to ensure that there are acceptable levels of control in all systems and that resources are being managed in an efficient, effective and economical manner.

 

Assessment and processing of housing and council tax benefit claims, ensuring customers receive the benefits to which they are entitled.

 

This service covers Accounting (preparation and monitoring of budgets and preparation of accounts), Payroll administration and Risk Management for the Council.

 

Provides the Council with up to date information, communication and technology services that help it deliver services to customers throughout the borough.

 

Provides the Council with advice on purchasing to ensure the best prices and quality are achieved.

 

Collects Council Tax from householders and Business Rates from businesses within the Dudley borough.
