As part of Dudley Council, Future Skills Dudley (FSD) is an established quality provider of construction and employability training for unemployed adults aged 18 years or over.
Construction Training . . .
FSD takes a totally holistic approach to training. In addition to developing core vocational skills that the construction industry is crying out for, clients are also able to develop vital ‘employability’ skills such as communication, teamwork and motivational skills, as well as basic and key skills.
Training is available on a part time basis (up to 16 hours per week) delivered, initially in a Centre based ‘practice’ environment, before progressing into real work situations. Clients are able to work towards achievement of a recognised vocational qualification and take advantage of a whole range of supplementary training and support available.
FSD has developed a range of services, which extend way beyond traditional teaching to suit individual circumstances and abilities underpinned by a range of excellent support measures to overcome personal barriers to employment such as help with basic literacy and numeracy. All in all we provide a training experience that is customised to meet the individual needs of each and every client that in turn benefits employers seeking staff with the right skills and attitude. Eligibility conditions apply.
Employability training . . .
For people who are experiencing difficulty securing employment FSD delivers a number of Jobsearch and Employability Training programmes to help you ‘get that job’.
Training and support includes fully resourced Centres (access to newspapers, journals, telephone, computer and internet facilities), help to write letters and compile a professional C.V., training in interview techniques and motivation together with basic reading, writing and numeracy.
This is all freely available to unemployed adults (over 18 years of age) at our Support Centres based at:
