National Takeover Day gives children and young people the chance to work with adults for the day and be involved in decision-making. Children get the opportunity to experience the world of work and give their views while adults and organisations gain a fresh perspective through the eyes of young people.

This year’s Takeover Day will see student Natasha Brookes chair Dudley Safeguarding Children Board while 14 year old Louise Pardoe will fill the shoes of deputy leader, Cllr Pete Lowe.
Natasha will be involved in discussions about how to keep children and young people safe in Dudley while Louise will take over the role of deputy leader and will attend meetings to discuss income generation opportunities and strategic planning for the future.
