Car Parking
There is limited parking, for Blue Badge Holders only, is available in the Civic Hall car park. This must be arranged prior to your visit with the Hall Supervisor (telephone 01384 812730). No designated parking bays are available. The car park is approximately 10 metres from the entrance.
Two alternative public car parks are available nearby, on Bank Street. Whilst these are Pay and Display car parks, parking is free for Blue Badge users. The nearest of the two car parks is approximately 40 metres from the entrance. Three designated parking bays, with side transfer areas, are available for Blue Badge Holders. It is linked to the civic hall site by 21 steps, divided by a middle landing. The steps are ‘easy going’ and have ‘suitable treads’ making it easier for people with an ambulant disability to use. The step nosings do not contrast in colour. Handrails are provided on both sides of the stairs and contrast in colour.
The second car park is approximately 150 metres from the entrance. Three designated parking bays, with side transfer areas, are also available for Blue Badge Holders. Level access is available to the entrance.
