Dell Stadium - Activities

Hockey

The Dell Stadium has several grass pitches, which are available for hire for hockey. In addition there are hockey clubs based at the Dell Stadium, as follows:

  • Dudley Ladies Hockey Club runs three league teams of varying standards at the Dell Stadium.

  • The club, founded in 1967, is currently training and playing home fixtures at the Dell Stadium.

Football

Football

The Dell include a full size artificial pitch and several grass pitches. These are available for training, coaching and competitive sports.

The Dell Stadium has high quality football pitches, including two a full size artificial pitch, a high-quality, floodlit grass football pitch with covered spectator seating. The Stadium is the home to our professional football team, Dudley Town Football Club.

  • 11-A-Side Football

  • 5-A-Side Football

  • Football Training

Bowling

Although the Dell does not have a bowling green, in the closed season the artificial pitch is used for bowling. Games can be booked on a casual basis on Thursday afternoons.

In addition the Dudley Dell Bowling Club use the Dell Stadium for bowling in the winter.

Athletics at the Dell

The Dell Stadium provides a superb training and competition venue for a wide range of sports, activities and events catering for people of all ages and abilities:

  • casual athletics use
  • club activity
  • coaching sessions
  • healthy lifestyles activities
  • schools use - casual use/sports days
  • schools coaching programme
  • events

The track and changing facilities were refurbished in 2000 and officially reopened on 1st July after funding from Sport England, the Lottery Sports Fund, the Foundation for Sport and the Arts and Dudley Council. This funding also included the provision of a floodlit synthetic pitch alongside the track.

Function Rooms

 There is a function room available for hire which can accommodate up to 50 people.

This can be used for meetings, birthday parties, children's activities, and other special occasions.
