Big Sky Basketball Club

Big Sky Basketball has been developing basketball in Dudley for over 15 years, and has now formed a new junior club to be based in the borough. The club will be run in conjunction with Dudley Council, Black Country Sports Partnership and England Basketball, Basketballs National Governing Body.

The club will continue to be responsible for the delivery of Basketball on Dudley Council’s Sportlink programme, which is currently delivered to 38 of the boroughs primary schools. The club also delivers a comprehensive central venue programme for secondary school pupils across the borough.

The club represents the borough of Dudley at the annual Black Country Youth Games, competing against teams from Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton.

The club has recently been successful in gaining £5000 from Awards for All. This funding will allow the club to improve basketball facilities at Dudley Leisure Centre, provide new equipment to ensure the highest quality delivery by professional basketball coaches, and support the club in covering venue costs for the foreseeable future.
