There are a number of clubs meet at the centre on a weekly basis, which offer activities outside of those offered by Halesowen Leisure Centre. Halesowen Swimming Club
Halesowen Swimming Club was founded on 17th May 1963. The fundamental objectives of the Club have not changed over the years and the Club remains first and foremost committed to competitive swimming. However, the Club offers a range of activities connected with swimming to encourage every member of the family to take part. Current activities include:

Cobra Running and Triathlon Club
The Cobra Running and Triathlon Club was founded in 1991 by a group of friends from Halesowen in the West Midlands who enjoyed jogging. Since then, the club has gone from strength to strength and now has over 90 adult members of varying abilities. Our member's ages range from teenagers to over 60s. Unfortunately Cobra does not have a separate junior section.
Cobra actively encourages absolute beginners; women are escorted on all training runs and can take advantage of 'women only' sessions on Wednesday evenings. We always meet the needs of new runners!
In addition, Cobra also hosts a number of events throughout the year, including the Cobra Classic 10K Road Race, Halesowen Triathlon and Aquathon. There is also a handicapped race called the Christmas Cracker, which is especially for Cobra members.
Cobra running club also incorporate triathlon training and a ladies only section. The club meets on the following nights:

Coombes Wood Swimming Club
The Club, in its present formation, was established in May 1980 when a number of people formed a committee and took over the responsibility of running the Club from the previous administration, British Steel Corporation, Coombs Wood Works.
The Club is affiliated to the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) West Midlands. The aim of the Club is to teach children and young people to swim, improve their water skills/techniques and endeavour to promote water safety awareness, in order that our sport can be enjoyed in a safe and friendly environment. CWSC is not a competition Club.
The club meets every Wednesday evening at Halesowen Leisure Centre, between 8.00 pm and 10.00 pm, utilising both the learner and large pool facilities.
