A range of swimming lessons takes place in the safe environment of the two pools. All instructors are fully qualified, experienced swimming teachers, who constantly encourage and help in the water to reassure all nervous children and swimmers.
Casual Sessions
There is no need to enrol, just turn up and try. If your baby likes it then you can enrol on one of the courses.
Swimming Clubs

At what age can your child start lessons?
Children can start lessons when they are 3 years old, progressing from total beginner stage, through to Improvers, to more advanced levels.
Waiting List
Please note that due to the popularity and the success of the Swimming Lesson Programme at the Halesowen Leisure Centre, a waiting list is often in operation for lessons. To put your child on the waiting list please contact the centre and ask for an application form.

Parent and Toddler sessions
|
Pay as you go classes with a fully qualified instructor who gives advice to parents who may need a helping hand with developing their babies and toddlers confidence. An excellent introduction to swimming, parents/carers are in the water with their children.

| Swim a Song |
Structured classes for 3 months to pre school age, block booking of term time only. There are awards for parents and children to attain, classes run on a Tuesday morning.

| Duckling Classes |
3/4 years - Morning are block bookings (term time only) and evening classes run all year. Children have the first swimming lesson with a teacher only in the pool. The emphasis is on confidence, taught through games with the emphasis on fun. Children may attain ducklings awards. Classes run Monday,Thursday, Saturday mornings and Tuesday and Thursday evenings. |
| Beginners Classes |
5+ years - At the age of 5 children progress through the ASA NPTS. This plan will develop swimmers from beginners to a competitive standard of swimming. Swimmers will, at level 10 have the opportunity to diversify to lifesaving or other water activities. Classes run Tuesday, Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.

| Adult Lessons |
Ladies Only (term time) Tuesday Evenings and Wednesday lunch time. We promote a pay as you go method for payment. The classes are informal and relaxed with qualified swimming instructors in the water for the very timid.

All children's lessons are pre-paid bookings to be paid before the course commences. Once enrolled all swimmers will automatically be enrolled onto the next course

Differing swimming levels are available from complete beginners through the ASA levels.
Disability Swimming Scheme
The centre also offers swimming lessons through the Kellogs ASA scheme for children with disabilities.
