Books on Prescription

This is a scheme offered by Dudley Libraries in partnership with Dudley Primary Care Trust where GPs recommend self-help books to patients which are available from their local library. Find your local library details.

How the scheme works:

  • The GP gives a book prescription to the patient
  • The patient takes the book prescription to any library in Dudley and staff will help to find the book
  • Patients who are not members of the library can join free of charge
  • If all books are on loan you can reserve a book free of charge

Books on prescription are also available for loan to any library member, not just those with a prescription
