Opening Hours

  • Monday: 9:30 to 7:00pm

  • Tuesday: 9:00 to 7:00pm

  • Wednesday: 9:00 to 7:00pm

  • Thursday: 9:00 to 7:00pm

  • Friday:  9:00 to 7:00pm

  • Saturday: 9:00 to 5:00pm

  • Sunday: 10:00 to 2:00pm

We stock a selection of books, DVDs, newspapers and magazines.  We also provide free internet access (see below).

What Can I do?

Join a reading group: Our Reading Groups page will tell you more.

Talk to your councillor: Find out who your local councillor is and where and when they hold surgeries.

Use the internet with our public access computers or use our free wifi access!  We also hold regular computer taster sessions:

  • Fridays: 9am to 10.30am - Basic IT taster sessions. Contact us to book a place

  • Word Processing class: Mondays 10.30am to 12pm.  Places must be booked in advance.

 

Time Travel: Go back in Time by attending Local History Talks.

Get involved: Our Reading and Writing page has details of other activities taking place in libraries.

Research Family History: Our staff can help you to find resources to help you.  Did you know we provide FREE access to ancestry.com within the library?  We also have a regular Genealogy session that must be booked in advance:

  • Wednesdays: 2pm to 2.30pm

 

Speak to Citizen's Advice Bureau: The library shares a desk with the CAB, on the 1st floor.  The CAB times are:

  • Tuesday: 9.30am to 2.30pm

  • Wednesday: 9.30am to 3.30pm

  • Friday: 9.30 to 2.30pm

For children and families

Why not join Rattle and Rhyme? The times are:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays term time: 11.15am to 11.45am

  • We also offer Saturday and Sunday stories every week from 11am to 11.30am
