  • Monday: 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 7pm

  • Tuesday: 9.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 7pm

  • Wednesday: 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm  

  • Thursday: 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 7pm

  • Friday: 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm

  • Saturday: 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm

 We stock a selection of books, newspapers and magazines.  We also provide free internet access (see below).

What Can I do?

Join a reading group: Come and join our fun and friendly reading group:

  • 1st Monday of the month: 10am to 11am

 Use the internet with our public access computers, or use our free wifi service.  We can also arrange a free IT taster for you - simply contact us. 

Time Travel: Go back in time by attending Local History Talks 

Research Family History: Our staff can help you to find the resources to help you.  Did you know we provide FREE access to ancestry.com within the library?  Sometimes introductory sessions are held in libraries on using ancestry.com.  These will always be advertised on our events page.

 Talk to your councillor: Find out who your local councillor is and where and when they hold surgeries.

For Children and families

Why not join Rattle and Rhyme?  These are held every week during term-term:

  • Friday: 9.30am to 10.30am

 We also have monthly bedtime stories:

  • Last Thursday of the month: 6.15pm to 6.45pm
