The Schools Library Services is located adjacent to the Straits Primary School in Lower Gornal.
We are a Traded Services for all Primary and Special schools via earmarked funding, ring-fenced, to be spent on Schools Library Services only. The individual requirements of Secondary School teachers can be negotiated. Special offers are featured in the Traded Services document for 2005 – 2006.
Our aims are to:
- Assist in helping pupils achieve their full potential.
- Assist staff in school and educational settings to raise standards.
- To provide good quality children’s literature for pupils of all abilities and backgrounds.
- To foster the enjoyment of reading for recreation and information.
