Watercolour. Jowett was a distinguished artist and teacher, who eventually became Head of Art at the Royal College of Art in London.

The picture is one of a number of 20th century watercolours that were purchased by the old Brierley Hill Urban District Council from exhibitions in London in the 1940s and 1950s.
