Dudley's Bid For World Heritage Status

Dudley, however, was not included on a short list of thirty two sites announced in August 1998 by the UK government's Department of Culture, Media and Sport.

We believe that this exclusion is not justified given Dudley's unique geological, historical and industrial heritage.

The following pages outline the relevant UNESCO criteria for World Heritage status. You are invited to judge its merit for yourself and, if you agree it is worthy of this designation, you are urged to contact the DCMS in support of our bid.
