Return of the Dinosaurs

Our new dinosaur exhibition includes a number of important models such as the lifesize model of ‘Barry’ the Baryonyx whom you may meet on the main stairs of the museum.

 

The exhibition also includes the real fossil of Thecodontosaurus ‘The Bristol Dinosaur’   This is one of the first dinosaurs and much earlier than its more famous descendents.  

 

Thecodontosaurus was the ancestor of the giant dinosaurs of later times although it was only six feet long and its body was not much larger than that of a dog.
