Broadfield House Glass Museum in Kingswinford has been recognised for its excellent customer service and visitor experience.
The Dudley Council run museum has just joined the Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme (VAQAS) run by the English Tourism Council.
To join the scheme, attractions must undergo a ‘mystery shopper’ assessment and are rated on everything from car parks to exhibition labels. The museum scored particularly highly in the areas of customer care, cleanliness and maintenance, and the standard of its displays.
Kari Moodie, Glass Interpretation Officer said:
“We are very proud that Broadfield House Glass Museum has been recognised as a quality attraction as it provides an excellent range of displays and activities in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We hope that local people and visitors to the area will visit the museum to experience this for themselves.”
The VAQAS scheme opens up various opportunities as the scheme is recognised by various bodies, including the Museums Accreditation Scheme of which all professional museums are members. The VAQAS logo provides visitors with an assurance that the attraction is well worth a visit. Other attractions in the borough that are members of the VAQAS scheme include the Red House Glass Cone and Dudley Zoological Gardens.
