Group bookings

Groups of all ages and level of knowledge are welcome to visit the Cone.  To make the most of your visit we recommend that you book a tour with our team of friendly and knowledgeable guides.  Our standard packages are listed below (price per head), but talks and tours can also be tailored to your group's needs.

 

A minimum of 12 persons is required for a group booking and there is free entry for the group organiser and coach driver provided there are 12 paying persons. Please note that guided tours and refreshments must be booked in advance.  We recommend 2 hours for a single tour, or four hours if you intend to visit both the Cone and Broadfield House.

Red House Glass Cone Guided Tour - guided history tour of the Cone site £3.00.

 

Candlelight Tour of the Cone - experience the magic of candlelight.  Refreshments included, minimum of 20 persons, price £7.50.

 

Canal Boat Ride & Guided Tour - available during spring and summer months to or from the Red House Glass Cone.  Prices on application.

 

Great Glass Tour - guided history tours of the Red House Glass Cone and Broadfield House Glass Museum.  Full day recommended, price £5.

Refreshments

 

Tea, coffee and biscuits can be booked in advance for your party at a charge of £1.30 per person.  Lunches at the Crystal Tearooms can also be arranged for groups.

 

School groups of all ages are welcome to visit the Cone and free entry is included for one adult per 10 children.  A free preliminary visit can also be arranged for the teacher.  Please note that guided tours, glassblowing demonstrations and art activities must be booked in advance.

 

 

How to book

 

Please ring to discuss possible dates for your intended visit, or complete booking form quoting two suitable dates.  A non-refundable deposit of £25 is required one month prior to your visit to confirm the booking.
