26 May 2007 to 29 March 2009 An exhibition showing Roman life and glassware, featuring an archaeological dig and Roman-themed events during school holidays, a programme of activities for schools is available The Romans were the first people to bring Glass to Britain. However they also bought a multi cultural consumer society to these isles. This exhibition looks at the way in which one of the most plentiful of consumer items, the pot, figured in Roman Britain.
