Broadfield House Glass Museum

Broadfield House Glass Museum celebrates the magical art of glassmaking and features the very best of British glass, much of which was made locally. The Museum combines the old with the new: a beautiful late Georgian house with an award winning modern extension.

Situated in the historic Stourbridge Glass Quarter, the museum has a magnificent collection of British glass, dating from the 17th century up to the present day. Also featuring a hot glass studio on site, a varied programme of temporary exhibitions and events, and fun activites for all the family.

Dudley Museum and Art Gallery

Dudley Museum and Art Gallery possesses an interesting collection of 19th and 20th century oil paintings, drawings and watercolours. The Museum is also home to the Brooke Robinson Collection - a Victorian gentleman's collection of paintings, furniture and Greek and Roman pottery.

There is something for everyone at Dudley Museum and Art Gallery. If you are a teacher there are school visits. If you are an art lover we have art exhibitions. And if you are a budding geologist, we have a huge collection of fossils.

Dudley Museums Service statement of purpose

Dudley Museums Service exists for the inspiration, education and enjoyment of everyone. We preserve, promote, enrich and provide access to our local heritage through our glass, geology, art and other collections.

We encourage creativity in the arts and provide a window on the world through exhibitions and events.

Virtual Tours

A number of 360° panoramas of the museums are available to view online.

These include the museums, borough halls and other attractions in and around the Dudley Borough.

Red House Glass Cone

The Red House Glass Cone lies in the heart of the Stourbridge glassmaking industry. Built at the end of the 18th Century the Cone was used for the manufacture of glass until 1936 and is now one of only four left in the United Kingdom. Reaching 100 feet into the sky, the Cone enclosed a furnace around which men made glass for 140 years.

The site is now a busy heritage site hosting exhibitions, events, children's activities, tours, a programme for schools, live glassmaking and craft studios and workshops for rent.
