How to Find Us
The Glass Museum is situated on the south side of Kingswinford town centre, just off the A491 Stourbridge to Wolverhampton road. Alight just after the Methodist Church if travelling from Stourbridge or just after The Swan pub if travelling from Wolverhampton.
Follow the brown tourist signs for 'Glass Museum'. Kingswinford is about 8 miles from the M5 Junction 2 (Dudley) or 12 miles from Junction 4 (Stourbridge). Access to the car park is via Barnett Lane for disabled visitors. SAT NAV DY6 9NS.
The Glass Museum is housed in a Grade II* listed building with a beautiful Regency facade which still retains some of the period features, such as the central staircase, adding to the building's charm but unfortunately make it impractical to install a lift.
A modern all-glass pavilion extension was added to the back of the building in 1994 and is now the main entrance to the Glass Museum, providing a bright and welcoming reception area.
An interesting programme of events and temporary exhibitions complement the glass displays and celebrate the magical art of glassmaking. There is also a glassmaking studio on site where visitors can watch and wonder at the glassblowers' skills.
As well as the attractive setting, visitors to the Glass Museum will find the following facilities and entertainment on offer:
