Groups of all ages and level of knowledge are welcome to visit the Glass Museum. To make the most of your visit we recommend that you book a tour with our team of friendly and knowledgable guides. Our standard packages are listed below (price per head), but talks and tours can also be tailored to your group's needs (prices on application). A minimum of 12 paying persons is required for a group booking and free entry is available for the group organiser and coach driver. A free preliminary visit can also be arranged for the group organiser. Please note that guided tours and refreshments must be booked in advance.

Great Glass Tour - guided history tour of the Red House Glass Cone and Broadfield House Glass Museum. Price £7.00. Full day recommended or minimum of 4 hours. Joint tours are at set times. 11am to 12.30pm at Red House Glass Cone and 2pm to 3.30pm at Broadfield House Glass Museum.

Please note there will be an additional charge for groups that visit outwith the Museum's normal opening hours. There is no charge for groups that visit during the Museum's opening hours who do not wish a guided tour or refreshments but we request that groups still notify us of their intention to visit.

There is a large lawn in front of the Museum, great for picnic lunches and running around. Please bring groundsheets in case of damp/wet weather. Please note there is no indoor area for eating packed lunches.
Safety
The Museum and Hot Glass Studio are secure, confined environments. However, we strongly recommend that teachers planning a school trip visit the site beforehand.
You can request a booking form by contacting the Museum by telephone or e-mail. We recommend that group organisers/teachers ring the Museum to discuss possible dates for your intended visit prior to returning the booking form. A non-refundable deposit of the equivalent of 12 paying persons is required one month prior to your visit to confirm the booking (where applicable).
Additional Information
- Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Broadfield House is a Grade II listed building and there is no lift access to the two upper floors. There is wheelchair access throughout the ground floor, including the shop and studio, and an accessible toilet.
- Coaches can park free of charge in the Museum's front or rear car parks, although there are no designated bays.
- The Gift Shop sells souvenirs and locally made glass as well as books, cards, jewellery and glass items
- The Museum is open all year round, Tues - Sun 12noon - 4pm and can be opened specially for your group at other times (charges apply).
- The Red House Glass Cone is 1.5 miles from the Glass Museum and travel time is approximately 15 minutes. Visits to the Cone can also be combined with a canal boat trip. Please visit the Red House Glass Cone website for a full list of group packages on offer at the Cone or telephone 01384 812750.
