Activities for children - JAM Club

We run a range holiday activities for children as part of the JAM Club (juniors at museums).

In addition there are family craft days held one Saturday each month.

Exhibitions

 Enjoy the exhibition galleries which tell the story of glassmaking in the area and the history of this unique glassworks. Glass and archive material from the Stuart collection which spans over 100 years is also on display.

The Cone has three exhibition areas as well as a permanent display inside the Cone itself.  Throughout the year the Cone is host to a series of temporary exhibitions in the Showcase, Bridge and Courtyard Galleries.

Kiln Fused Glass Workshops

Learn about kiln fusing and make your own jewellery pieces through our taster jewellery, coaster and wall-hanging workshops.

The Romans at the Cone

Learn about archaeological digs and glassmaking in Roman times and discover how the Romans lived.  Full education programme available.

Handmade Crafts at the Cone

Made @ the Cone is made up of a diverse range of handmade products, all created on site: jewellery, textiles; ceramics, fused and blown glass.  The makers are all studio holders at the Red House Glass Cone. Their products are available in the Cone Gift Shop and in their studios at weekends.

Galleries

The Glass Museum has a number of galleries in which to exhibit the museums' collections together with  regular exhibitions by Glass West Midlands members - providing an opportunity to promote individual businesses and generate sales and commissions.
