Studios to let

The managed studios form an integral part of the overall Red House Glass Cone refurbishment scheme, to create separate secure accommodation which has been designed to suit the small, start up craft, and professional business. 

Facilities Available

Each of the studios has a separately metered electricity supply which provides power points, lighting, hot water and heating. There is a stainless steel sink unit, water supply and telephone connection point to most of the studios.

Administrative facilities are available on site if required, for example word processing, fax and photocopying facilities.

Within the reception area, there is the facility for tenants to display their wares.

The public has controlled access to the studios during the visitor centre's opening hours.

Studio 8 - Glen Callum Associates are recruitment consultants specialising in UK positions for the automotive and industrial sectors.  With a trading history spanning over 14 years Glen Callum Associates have recently moved into The Red House Glass Cone, a location within the heart of the Black Country. This allows them a prestigious head office base; centrally located, with accessible interview and conference facilities, on a site which boasts a proud industrial heritage.

Availability of Studios

Legal Details

Lease

The studios are offered initially for a term of 12 months subject to completion of a formal lease. The lease is of a standard format and a copy can be made available upon request.

Completion of a lease is subject to receipt of a fully completed application form and the timely receipt of satisfactory references.

Lease renewal

Whilst there will be no automatic right to renewal of the initial 12 month lease, it is expected that leases of up to 3 years will then be made available. This is subject to the Council's satisfaction that the tenant has operated in accordance with the terms of the previous lease and in the spirit of the centre's operation.

Repairs & decoration

Tenants will be responsible for internal repairs and decoration of their respective studios. The council will undertake all external and structural repairs and decoration to the complex space. A proportion of the cost of which will be rechargeable through the service charge provided in the lease. 

Small business rate relief may be available to ratepayers and this will give 50% rate relief.
