This Dudley Park used to hold the Buffery Park Conservatory which was a central feature of the park for many years. The conservatory provided plants to be enjoyed by visitors and pot plants for use in the Dudley Borough Mayor Making and other civic events. There are many old stories about the park and the conservatory, one even describing pineapples and parrots being cultivated.
The park has large areas of open flat grass, measuring approximately 6 ha, it is ideal for team games and smaller shaded and un-shaded areas perfect for picnics and leisure activities. The park has a multi-use games area, a children’s play area and a Crown Bowls Club which is currently requiring renovation. Plans are in place for work to renovate the tennis court, which will be completed in 2011. The park hosts a selection of managed pathways, making walking an optimal choice, for all individuals within the community.

The park is home to a community building; The Buffery Paradise Centre. The building was formerly a Sons of Rest Building, but has been subject to internal and external renovation by Dudley Council and The Friends and Residents of Buffery Park, and is now offered as a community facility.
