Staffed Parks
Park Rangers are based at parks our new activity centres on Healthy Towns Parks. They offer a wide range of activities. From Summer 2011, Park Rangers will also based at Priory Park in Dudley, as part of Heritage Lottery Funding.
In addition to the staffed parks there are many other Parks within the borough. There is probably one within walking distance of your home.
There are two further important Parks within the responsibility of Dudley Council. These are Himley Hall and Park and Leasowes Park if you want to know more about these Parks follow the links.
Opening times
The Parks are open everyday with free access, in most cases there are car -parking facilities. On the staffed parks, staff work on various rotas according to seasons. Check with individual sites for current timetables.
Please look after your dogs responsibly
It is unlawful to let dog faeces remain on the ground at the Parks. The Council has installed a number of Dog Bins throughout the borough to encourage owners and anyone in control of a dog to clear up after the dog to comply with the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996. The Council hopes this will make our Parks a more pleasant environment for everyone.
Facilities in the Parks
Most Parks a range of Outdoor Recreation Facilities such as tennis courts, basketball courts, bowling greens or playgrounds. The Park Keepers take payments for sports facilities as appropriate.
