Priory Park

Priory Park is the closest park Dudley’s town centre. It covers an area of 7.7 hectares (19 acres), and sits just 600m (5-minutes’ walk) from the centre of the town.

Priory Ruin

The Park was opened in 1932. It retains most of its original features, plus a number of additions such as the pond and the multi-use games area. A number of exciting new facilities will be added during the current restoration project, which will be completed by 2013.

Dudley Council has been awarded £1.8million by the Heritage Lottery Fund to restore Priory Park and its facilities.

The main aim of the restoration is to conserve and enhance the historic landscape, create a park that meets modern-day visitors' needs, and provide a varied range of events and activities. For details of the plans for buildings, landscaping and facilities in the park, visit the restoration page.

New shrubs will be planted in the park
