With the Glass and the Past package, visitors can explore the area's world renowned glass making heritage at the Red House Glass Cone and Broadfield House Glass Museum and take a trip into Dudley Canal Tunnel and the Black Country Living Museum.

Glass and the Past itinerary
Friday to Sunday (2 nights)
Day one
arrive at your hotel of choice with time to relax before your drinks reception followed by your evening meal
Day two
From 10am visitors can enjoy a great glass guided tour of both the Red House Glass Cone and Broadfield House Glass Museum, in the heart of the borough’s glass quarter. Watch glass blowing demonstrations, view exhibitions and take a look in the gift shops. Follow the Brown and White signposting to both attractions. Car parking is available at both sites and free of charge.
Before making your way to Broadfield House Glass Museum, enjoy a buffet lunch at the Red House Glass Cone.

As an optional extra on day two there is time to leisurely explore the shopping delights at Merry Hill, one of the largest award-winning shopping centres in the UK before returning to the hotel for your evening meal. Day three
10am start. Sit back and enjoy the skipper guided 45min boat trip along Dudley Canal Tunnel to discover the area's mining history before watching an audiovisual show and a music and light spectacular in the singing cavern.
Followed by the rest of the day at Black Country Living Museum, where visitors can chat to costumed characters from a bygone era and hear stories of time gone by before departing for your journey home.
Access to Dudley Canal Tunnel will be through the main entrance at the Black Country Living Museum, where coaches can park for free. Follow the Brown and White signposting. Visitors will be given an introductory talk and can then take a 5 minute walk down to Dudley Canal Trust where the boat trip will start at 10.30am.
