If you are a Dudley borough resident there will be changes to your black bag and recycling collections between Monday 24 December and Tuesday 8 January.
Residents are being asked to look out for a leaflet detailing the changes, which is being delivered to all borough homes.

Bin collections
Monday
Properties that normally have their black bags collected on Mondays will have a collection on Saturday 22 December in advance of Monday 24 December. Collections will take place on Monday 31 December and Monday 7 January as normal.
Tuesday
Properties that normally have their black bags collected on Tuesdays will have a collection on Monday 24 December in advance of Tuesday 25 December and a collection on Wednesday 2 January in replacement of Tuesday 1 January. Collections will take place on Tuesday 8 January as normal.
Wednesday
Properties that normally have their black bags collected on Wednesdays will have replacement collections on Thursday 27 December and Thursday 3 January.
Thursday
Properties that normally have their black bags collected on Thursdays will have replacement collections on Friday 28 Decemberand Friday 4 January.
Friday
Properties that normally have their black bags collected on Fridays will have replacement collections on Saturday 29 December and Saturday 5 January.
Please ensure your bags are ready for collection by 6am on your collection day as collections may be earlier than usual.
Weekly collections are limited to three bags per household to encourage recycling. However, we appreciate you may have extra non-recyclable waste over the holiday period and will collect up to an additional two bags from each household on your collection day between Thursday 27 December and Tuesday 8 January. These dates are indicated in bold above.
Please be aware that any households putting out more than two additional bags will not have these extra bags collected. Any additional bulky waste can be collected via the council’s chargeable bulky waste collection service, which runs throughout the year. Your annual roll of 52 bags will be delivered between December and March with next year’s garden waste recycling calendar.
Recycling collections
Monday
Properties that normally have their recycling collected on Mondays will have normal recycling collections throughout.
Tuesday
Properties that normally have their recycling collected on Tuesdays will have a collection on Saturday 22 December in advance of Tuesday 25 December and a collection on Saturday 5 January in replacement of Tuesday 1 January.
Wednesday
Properties that normally have their recycling collected on Wednesdays will have a collection on Saturday 29 December in replacement of Wednesday 26 December. There will be a normal collection on Wednesday 2 January.
Thursday
Properties that normally have their recycling collected on Thursdays will have normal recycling collections throughout.
Friday
Properties that normally have their recycling collected on Fridays will have normal recycling collections throughout.
Please ensure your recycling is ready for collection by 7.30am on your collection day as collections may be earlier than usual.
If your recycling does not fit in the container provided please separate and place it in another suitable container for collection.
We cannot recycle wrapping paper. Cardboard and gift cards can be recycled at a number of locations across the borough.
You won't receive a recycling calendar for 2013, as your collection day remains unaltered. Calendars can still be downloaded here: www.dudley.gov.uk/recycling
Household waste site
The household waste sites, located in Stourbridge and Coseley, are the main recycling sites for a large number of items such as cardboard, plastic bottles, green garden waste (including Christmas trees) and old electrical items.
