Winter affected services and school closures

Snow in Dudley

Dudley Council works hard to ensure its services continue to run during the winter period. However, some services will be affected by the severe weather.

Below is a complete picture of how council services will be affected during the snow and ice. Remember, you can also keep up to date via our @dudleymbc twitter feed and 'dudley borough' facebook page

Gritting and roads

Gritting crews have been treating the borough's main and side roads as well as refilling grit bins where needed.

A 40-strong team based at the council’s Lister Road depot keep more than 460 kilometres of road clear during severe weather.

There's a map of the borough including gritting routes attached at the bottom of this page

A new salt barn has been built as part of a £1.1million project as the cold winter gritting season grips Dudley borough.
