Weather Watch

weatherwatch dudley media

Dudley Council works hard to ensure its services continue to run during the winter period. However, some services will be affected by the severe weather.

Councillor Karen Shakespeare, cabinet member for environmental services, said: “At this time of year we are constantly monitoring the weather and our staff have vast experience in dealing with all types of winter conditions. We have 3,500 tonnes of grit and a fleet of eight gritters, to bolster a network of hundreds of grit bins across the borough if the weather takes a turn for the worst.”

Below is a complete picture of how council services will be affected during the snow and ice. Remember, you can also keep up to date via our @dudleymbc twitter feed and 'dudley borough' facebook page

You can also sign up to regular e bulletins for monthly information on the council's news, service, events and other information.

Latest update - Friday 15 December

It’s been a challenging week for our refuse and recycling collectors and we would like to thank everyone for bearing with us.

By the end of tomorrow we hope to have collected any missed collections from earlier this week.  As an update and to clarify we are asking people not to place any additional waste out with their missed collections. Please wait until the bin is emptied and place any additional refuse you have in there.

Any missed recycling collections will be picked up on your next collection date.  You will be able to place additional recycling out in carrier bags but please do not use black bags.

If you have any additional queries about your collection please contact Dudley Council Plus on 0300 555 2345, dudleycouncilplus@dudley.gov.ukor via our smartphone app
