Dudley Council works hard to ensure its services continue to run during the winter period. However, some services will be affected by the severe weather.

Latest News Council ready for snow
Councillor Hilary Bills, cabinet member for environmental services, said: “Our crews will be out tonight and over the weekend to help keep almost 300 miles of roads clear for people to drive on. We will also be monitoring the weather around the clock and responding accordingly. People can keep up to date with all the weather related services, and check our gritting routes and other useful information, by visiting our Weather Watch page at www.dudley.gov.uk”
Councillor Hilary Bills, cabinet member for environmental services, said: “As part of our pledge to be a community council we are keeping people informed and up to date is an essential part of our work during the winter. The more information people have on things like roads and gritting, the better they can plan their journeys on the roads and their days over the winter period.”

Gritting and roads
Gritting crews were out last night and will be out for the rest of the week to tackle the borough's roads, but people still need to drive carefully.
A 40-strong team based at the council’s Lister Road depot keep more than 460 kilometres of road clear during severe weather.

The household waste recycling centre on Birmingham Street, Stourbridge, is open as normal.
