Eat, drink, be merry and stay safe – that’s the festive advice being given to Dudley borough residents in the run up to Christmas.
Most people have a safe and peaceful festive period, but for a few, by simply not planning ahead a fun time of year can turn into a nightmare.
safe & sound, Dudley’s community safety partnership has launched its 12 safer days of Christmas campaign, which gives residents 12 festive safety tips.
Tips range from party safety, getting home safely and not drinking and driving to ways to keep your home, valuables and car safe.
There are also tips around avoiding accidental fires and being conned by sellers of counterfeit good.
Residents are advised to plan for a safer Christmas by checking out all 12 of the safety tips in full at www.dudleysafeandsound.org and sharing them with their family and friends.
Councillor Judy Foster, cabinet member responsible for community safety, said:
“The partnership wants to help people keep themselves and their families safe over the festive period.
“This campaign gives twelve really simple pieces of safety advice that if followed could make a big difference to your Christmas.”
