Dudley borough residents are being reminded of Christmas and New Year opening times at council venues.
Dudley Council Plus, the council’s customer service centre in Castle Street, Dudley, will be open on December 23 and closed on December 24 to 26 and on January 1. While offices and Dudley Council Plus are closed, payments of Council Tax, business rates or housing rent can be made by debit or credit card by calling Callpay on 0300 555 7000.
Households will have altered bin and recycling collections between December 23 and January 3. Flyers detailing the changes are being delivered to all borough homes in the lead-up to Christmas. Details of the altered collections are also available on http://online.dudley.gov.uk/about/tellmeaboutmy/ or from Dudley Council Plus, by emailing email@example.com or calling 0300 555 2345.
The household waste recycling centre (council tip), located on Birmingham Road in Stourbridge, will be closed on December 25, 26 and January 1.
All libraries in the borough are closed December 24 to 26 and January 1 and all libraries will close at 4pm on December 31. The archives will be closed December 23 to 26 and January 1.
The Crystal Leisure Centre in Stourbridge, Dudley Leisure Centre and Halesowen Leisure Centre will be closed onDecember 24 to 26 and January 1. Customers of each centre should visit www.dudley.gov.uk for full details of opening times and other centre opening times over the festive period.
Meanwhile the Dell Stadiumwill be closed from December 23 until January 1.The activity centres at Huntingtree Park, Mary Stevens Park, Netherton Park and Silver Jubilee Park will close at 4.30pm on Monday 23 December and re-open at 8.45am on Thursday 2 January.
Dudley Register Office at Priory Hall will be closed onDecember 24 to 26 and 29 and January 1.
The cemeteries and crematoria grounds are open throughout the Christmas period from 9am until 4.30pm, with the Book of Remembrance room open from 9am to 4pm. The offices will be closed December 24 to 26 and January 1.

Children’s services and adult, community and housing services officeswill be closed from December 24 to 26 and January 1. They will be open December 23, 27, 30 and 31 from 9am to 5pm. To contact children’s or adult care services in an emergency when offices are closed, people should call the emergency duty team on 0300 555 8574. Services including residential care and homecare will continue to operate during the Christmas period.
The Housing Repairs Management Centre will be closed December 24 to 26 and January 1. People should call 0300 555 8283 for out-of-hours emergencies or to report an emergency on a day that the repairs management centre is closed.
