Black Country Ukulele Band (August 7)
The Black Country Ukulele Band will perform a FREE concert in the hall's courtyard on Sunday August 7 from 2.30 to 5pm. The band will perform songs from country to rock 'n' roll. People are welcome to bring along a picnic and deckchairs. The hall's tea room will be open during the afternoon.
Race for Life (July 10)
Himley Hall and Park will host a Cancer Research UK's Race for Life this Sunday from 11am. Find out more at www.raceforlife.org
Cleobury Mortimer Brass Band Concert (July 17)
People can enjoy a pleasant afternoon listening to the sounds of the Cleobury Mortimer Brass Band on Sunday July 17 from 2.30 to 5pm. The event is FREE and will take place in the hall's courtyard. People are welcome to bring along a picnic and deckchairs. The hall's tea room will be open during the afternoon.
During the afternoon there will also be an Armstrong and Siddeley Owners Club car show where people will be able to get up close to cars owned by the rich and famous including King George VI. A display of 30 cars will be in the hall's courtyard and grounds.
Exhibitions at Himley Hall and Park (running until September 4)
Himley Hall and Park is currently hosting three exhibitions, which will run until September 4. They include:
Some you might just like - an exhibition of artwork by Black Country artist Phil Sedgley. The exhibition showcases the artist's original work using oil paints to create landscapes and his later work with other media on a variety of surfaces.
Sci-Fi Junk - An amazing collection of books, ornaments, models, spaceships and oddities collected since the 1970s by local sci-fi fanatic Nigel Harris.
A brush of life - An exhibition by Wolverhampton born illustrator and fine artist Rebecca Cresswell. Rebecca specialises in 'art in healthcare' and pet portraits.
