4 - Wedding open day at the Thomas Robinson building

Couples planning to tie the knot can find out about getting married at The Thomas Robinson Building in Stourbridge at an open day this Saturday (7 October).

Dudley Registrars are holding the wedding show bonanza, which will include the chance to take a look around the historic building and view the range of gowns available from ‘I do 2 Bridal Boutique.’ Alongside providing bespoke ceremonies and stunning venues for local couples, Dudley registrars also offer personalised wedding stationery, a webcam and DVD facility, confetti cones and work in partnership with local business to offer wedding car hire, photography and bridal flowers. All will be on display at the open day.

This year’s event will also include a free prize draw for anyone attending to win a wedding at the Thomas Robinson Building.

Councillor David Stanley, cabinet member for corporate transformation and performance, said:

“The wedding open days are always really popular, giving couples the chance to look around the venue and also see what other services are available at our wedding venues.

“And of course one lucky couple will walk away from the day with a free wedding ceremony, courtesy of Dudley Council and Dudley Registrars.”

The former chapels, built in the Victorian-Gothic style, reopened in March 2016 after a £1.2m refurbishment and their beauty and history, combined with modern facilities and contemporary service are proving popular with local people.
