Details of major schemes

Pensnett scheme

Motorists are being warned to expect delays on the A4101 High Street as temporary traffic lights go up to allow essential congestion-busting work to be carried out from May 2017. This is expected to take 12 months to complete.

Corbyns Hall Lane, Pensnett, will be closed from Monday December 4 to Friday December 8 for South Staffs Water to carry out work to make a new water connection, as part of the ongoing High Street work. A signed diversion will be in place.

As part of the ongoing High Street, Pensnett works, Birds Meadow and Bradley Street will be closed at their junctions with High Street, from 23 October for approximately 2 weeks.

Three-way temporary lights will be in operation at the High Street / High Oak junction.  All traffic management for this closure and the Swan Street closure will be integrated to ensure both closures can occur at the same time.

The closures are required to assist with works that the utilities (gas and electric) need to carry out in the mouth of these junctions. Signed diversions will be in place.
