On Sunday 24 September, 15,000 cyclists will be taking part in a 100 mile, closed route journey departing from Birmingham and taking in parts of the borough.

On leaving Birmingham, the Vélo Birmingham route follows the A456, Hagley Road West, into Halesowen and takes the A458 Mucklow Hill, Earls Way and Stourbridge Road towards Cradley before turning south from Windmill Hill onto Toys Lane, Oldnall Road, Wynall Lane and Oakfield Road. The route will then turn north and follow Walk Avenue before circling Stevens Park (Wollescote Road, Springfield Avenue, Cemetery Road and Pedmore Road) before joining the B4186 Grange Road. The route leaves the borough via A451 Heath Lane onto B4186 Norton Road and takes in parts of Worcestershire and Staffordshire, before riders return to Birmingham.

Details of the route can be found on the Velo Birmingham web pages.
