Dudley council provides a chargeable Commercial Waste Collection service to businesses within the borough

We have a wide range of commercial waste products and services, including the hire of euro bins, trade waste sacks, special trade collections and commercial wheelie bins

Please note that commercial waste collection is not included within your Business rates.

Resource, Efficiency and Recycling

Are you throwing away profit? The cost of waste affects every business regardless of its size. UK businesses produce 75 million tonnes of waste each year, over half of which is sent to landfill. With increasing landfill costs businesses need to rethink their waste disposal options

There are a number of organisations who can help local businesses to become more resource efficient, reducing the amount of waste produced and saving money. Dudley Council does not offer a trade waste recycling service, however, there are local companies who can offer recycling services for items ranging from office waste to construction or agricultural waste.

Commercial Trade Sacks

These are available to customers who do not produce large amounts of waste or are unable to accommodate a waste container. For these customers we are able to offer a Trade Sack collection service.

Duty of Care (Business)

All business in the UK must comply with Section 34 the Duty of Care provision of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. The act requires businesses to take measures to prevent unauthorised deposit, treatment and disposal of waste.

Euro Bins and Wheelie Bins

The council offers the following bin options:

1100 litre Euro Bins : This is a steel rectangular wheeled bin with a hinged, lockable lid. The capacity allows for the containment of approximately 10-12 sacks of waste.

The 660 litre Euro Bins: This is a steel rectangular wheeled bin with a hinged, lockable lid. The capacity allows for the containment of approximately 5-6 sacks of waste.

240 litre Wheelie Bins service: The bin is made of a moulded plastic and has a yellow body and blue hinged lid and two rear castors. The capacity allows for the containment of approximately 2-3 sacks of waste.

Container Steam Cleaning

Container Steam Cleaning of commercial-sized metal containers is available from the Council, upon request for a fee per container.

Disposal Sites

The Council's Civic Amenity Site does not accept trade or commercial waste. Advice and guidance on the disposal of commercial/trade waste or hazardous waste can be obtained on our Disposal Sites webpage.
