Home Affairs survey 2018

Home Affairs to be blueprint for council newsletter

The first issue of Home Affairs was published in the spring of 2002 and over the years has been one of the main ways in which we have communicated with tenants and leaseholders. However, more and more people are now accessing information via the internet and smart phones and taking advantage of our online services such as eHousing.

Despite the shift to digital technology to access information and services, leaders at Dudley Council are keen to retain a newsletter to communicate with residents.

In the Spring issue of Home Affairs we included a reader survey and talked about the council’s vision for a newsletter that could be distributed to all households in the borough, and not just council tenants. The survey results, along with previous surveys about Home Affairs, show support for receiving information about housing and other council services as well as community news.

We are now hoping to go forward with the introduction of a new borough-wide publication which will include information about all services within the council as well as a section dedicated to council tenants and leaseholders. The first issue is scheduled to be published later this year. Further details and a link to the online publication will be included on this page.
