Message to all Customers: New Library Management system

Dudley libraries will be implementing a new Library Management system in the week beginning 11th December 2017.

Please have patience with us while this change takes place and be aware that there may be some delays due to the staff adapting to the new system.

  • There will be some disruption to the supply of books and other items during this process, but we will take steps to minimise any disruption. You will be able to reserve items as usual, but there may be a delay in obtaining these items.

We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause.

PIN numbers

You will notice two changes with the new Library Management system:

  • PIN Numbers - your PIN number will change to the first two numbers of your house number and the last two numbers of your post code. Staff will no longer be able to look up your PIN number for you.

  • Upper Age limit for paying library fines – this will change from 60 years to 65 years in line with other Black Country Libraries. If you currently do not pay fines, this will continue.

Dudley Libraries are spread across the borough and provide a service which is open and accessible to all.
