We now offer a downloadable books service, otherwise known as e-books, and have over 2,000 ebooks for loan.

Get started

This service is only available on a home computer, or other device connected to the internet or our public libraries wi-fi network.

The service is not available on public library computers due to the requirements of Adobe digital editions software.

What you will need

  • A library card (and your pin number to login)

  • A computer (windows or apple), or other device connected to the internet (including our wi-fi)

  • Adobe digital editions software installed on a computer (a link will be provided to download and install this software), or other specific software for your smartphone or apple device.

  • A compatible ebook device: Smart phones, apple devices and Amazon Fire tablets are also supported (Amazon Kindle E-readers are NOT supported).  The Amazon Kindle e-reader is a proprietary format and as such does not allow library loaned material which adheres to an open standard. Find out more about ebook formats which also include links to sources of free e-books for Kindle devices.
